Mineral Extraction Site (MES) datasets from Maus et al. (2020)

This repository contains MES datasets in shapefile format. They are used as input data for the project "Automatic detection and observation of mineral extraction sites": proj-dqry.

These vector files were modified from the geopackage file (global_mining_polygons_v1.gpkg) published by Maus et al. (2020) under the license CC-BY-SA-4.0:

The polygons were clipped according to the areas of interest for the proj-dqry and polygon shapes were adapted and added to better match the MES outline visible on the 2020 Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8 images, available in the Brazil Data Cube (BDC).
